Many first, rare, and autographed editions are in the Libraries’ Rare Book Room, where users must make supervised visits to see the books. In addition, non-book items related to author Isaac Asimov and themes of science and science fiction are available in our collection, including sound recordings, VHS videotapes, motion picture film, computerized reference tools, board and computer games, and other materials. Of all the writers I read as a child and young adult, none influenced me as much as Isaac Asimov, and I will forever try to emulate his effortlessly graceful writing and broad array of intellectual interests. It is a special point of alumni pride for me that WVU is now home to one of the world's leading collections of Asimov materials.
